How The Heel Down Exercise Program Affects to the Functional Recovery and Dynamic Balance on Lower Extremity to Stroke Patients

Abstract
Objective: This study was conducted to investigate how much the heel down exercise program affects to the functional recovery and dynamic balance on lower extremity to stroke patients.

Method: 10 patients received 30 min training which is the heeling down exercise program at B hospital in Gyunggi province. The exercises were performed once a day, five times per week for six weeks between January and March 2013. Re-assessment has done 6 weeks after the intervention.

Results: The result showed that the heel down exercise program over short duration can be safely performed to 10 stroke patients. This exercise program may lead to improve on the functional recovery and dynamic balance on lower extremity to stroke patients.

Conclusion: This study demonstrated that a short program that combined strengthening ankle exercise was more effective in improving the functional performance and dynamic balance on lower extremity to stroke patients. The various studies may need in further.
